Paramedics are advanced emergency medical care providers and are highly educated in anatomy and physiology, cardiology, medications, and medical procedures. They build on their Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) education and learn more skills such as administering medications, starting intravenous lines, providing advanced airway management for patients, and learning to resuscitate and support patients with significant problems such as heart attacks and traumas. Clinical training for this program will be held at a variety of healthcare facilities. Upon completion of the training, students will be eligible to sit for the National Registry Examination at the Paramedic level and become licensed** in the State of .
The goal of Tri County Tech’s Paramedic Program is to prepare competent entry-level advanced life-support prehospital providers as Paramedics in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains including leadership and research with or without exit points at the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and/or Emergency Medical Technician, and/or Emergency Medical Responder levels.

Students may substitute Anatomy & Physiology transcripted with a “C” or better from a college or university within the last 5 years.
Paramedic Anatomy & Physiology is a prerequisite‡ for the Paramedic Program. This course is designed to guide students through the systems of the human body and develop a basic understanding of the native language of the health profession. Students will study the microscopic and macroscopic anatomy along with the functions and processes of the structures of the human body (physiology). Topics include body organization, homeostasis, cytology, histology and the integumentary skeletal, muscular and nervous systems, and special senses.

Incidents such as automobile accidents, heart attacks, drownings, childbirth, and gunshot wounds require immediate medical attention. EMTs and paramedics provide this vital attention as they care for and transport the sick or injured to a medical facility. Clinical training through Bartlesville Ambulance and Jane Phillips Medical Center Emergency Room is included in the course. Financial assistance is available through the Tri County Tech Foundation for our Full-Time and most of our Flex programs. After you are accepted into a program, you will receive a financial assistance application. The form must be filled out and turned in with the most recent two months of pay stubs for every working member of your household.
Our main goal for financial assistance at Tri County Tech is to assist financially disadvantaged students who would be unable to get the education they deserve. Assistance consists of grants, scholarships, and employment. An individual might participate in one or more resources, depending upon eligibility and need.
We do not accept funds from FAFSA or PELL.
