Build the future you want with these fast-paced courses. Construction is projected to be one of the most highly in-demand jobs through 2032, with an estimated 150,000 NEW craft professionals needed each year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Tri County Tech鈥檚 Construction Technology courses prepare students to meet that demand and begin a trade career. With pathways into carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and more, these courses provide a foundation of skills to help you be successful in the industry. Gain entry level skills needed to build the future you want, learn proper techniques to be successful in the industry, and start your career as a craft professional.

Students taking Flex Construction classes can expect:
- HYBRID LEARNING – reading material and some coursework will be online at home. Testing and shop work will be scheduled in-person classes.
- FAST-PACED – our flex program is condensed learning in an accelerated environment.

Courses
Electrical
This course will train you for an entry-level career as an electrician by teaching you the fundamental skills you need to succeed, such as electrical theory, wiring and installation, basic troubleshooting, and customer service best practices. You will learn electrical theory, wiring and installation, safety procedures, the use of common hardware, tools, materials, and more.

HVAC
Master the art of indoor comfort cooling and learn how to design and install top-of-the-line heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. Acquire the skills to maintain HVAC components, troubleshoot electrical issues, and maintain systems operations. Discover the latest industry practices and techniques to start your career as an apprentice HVAC service technician.

Plumbing
Receive instruction in plumbing on topics such as tools, safety, System components, drains, waste and vents, toilets, laves, tubs, fixtures, water heaters, and so much more! Students learn basic plumbing repair and maintenance. Completion of this plumbing course prepares individuals for entry-level employment as plumbers.

Carpentry
Develop skills using various hand and power tools and equipment to construct and repair wooden structures and components. Interpret blueprints and building plans to create project layouts for various applications. Build practical knowledge of carpentry techniques and best practices for successful woodworking projects.

Certifications
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available through the Tri County Tech Foundation for our Full-Time and many of our Flex programs. After you are accepted into a program, you will receive a financial assistance application. The form must be filled out and turned in with the most recent two months of pay stubs for every working member of your household.
Our main goal for financial assistance at Tri County Tech is to assist financially disadvantaged students who would be unable to get the education they deserve. Assistance consists of grants, scholarships, and employment. An individual might participate in one or more resources, depending upon eligibility and need.
We do not accept funds from FAFSA or PELL.
