A Camp for Everyone

Our STEAM Summer Camp is a fun-filled, week-long day camp for students currently in 3rd-9th grade. Participants in 5th-9th grade will choose their camp program(s), featuring fun & exciting themes in a safe, small-group instruction environment. 3rd and 4th grade participants will attend a half-day in each of the camp themes, and 5th – 9th will attend two themes.  STEAM Summer Camp is from 8:30am – 3:30pm with lunch provided, as well as morning & afternoon snacks. Registration ends May 25, 2025. Use promo code STEAM50 for $50 off through April 1, 2025.

Summer Camp Tuition

STEAM Summer Camp registration is $325 per camperScholarships are available, please contact your school counselor for more information on how to apply. This applies to EPIC Charter School students as well.

Refund Policy: A full refund will be issued if canceled 10 days before camp. A 50% refund will be issued if canceled less than 10 days before camp. Any camper that drops after camp has begun will not receive a refund.

Daily Schedule

First day registration, daily check-in, and check-out will occur in our Main Office on the southeast side of our main building by the brick tower. An adult is required to be present for drop-off and pick-up.

  • First Day Registration: 7:45am – 8:15am

  • Daily Check-in: 8:00am – 8:20am

  • Daily Check-out: 3:00pm – 3:30pm

Lunch & Snacks

We will provide campers with lunch, morning & afternoon snacks, and a refillable water bottle. Check your email a few days before camp for the week’s menu. Our incredible culinary team has developed a kid-friendly menu; however, if you want your camper to eat a particular meal or snack, feel free to pack them a lunch. To limit interruptions and food fights, we will not accept food deliveries. 

STEAM T-Shirts

A STEAM Summer Camp t-shirt will be provided. Please have your camper wear their shirt on Friday for group pictures!

Camp Themes

Art

*All Grades
Instructor: Dana Lyle

Art Camp provides high-quality enrichment experiences in the visual arts. Classes are taught by artists who design fun, challenging, and educational projects. Campers will create a variety of artworks, including but not limited to painting, printmaking, paper-mâché, masks, plaster sculptures, fiber arts, and assemblages.

Aviation

*Grades 3-4 & 5-6
Instructor: Brandi Peace

Campers will explore the fundamentals of aerodynamics as they design, build, and fly their kites and launch rockets. Through hands-on projects, teamwork, and creativity, they'll develop essential STEAM skills in a fun and engaging environment. Whether soaring high with their kites or blasting off with their rockets, campers will gain a deeper understanding of flight while making unforgettable memories. Get ready for a week of discovery, innovation, and sky-high excitement!

Babysitting

*Grades 5-6 & 7-9
Instructors: Christina Klahn & Brianna Offutt

In this fun and interactive babysitting camp, participants will gain the essential skills and confidence needed to be responsible and caring babysitters. Through hands-on activities, role-playing, and expert guidance, campers will learn: Childcare Basics, Fun & Engaging Activities, Safety & First Aid, Behavior & Discipline, Business & Professionalism. By the end of camp, participants will earn a Babysitter Certificate and leave with the confidence to take on babysitting jobs successfully! Perfect for pre-teens and teens looking to develop responsibility, leadership, and childcare skills.

CHEF

*All Grades
Cooking is a universal life skill that offers a unique opportunity to explore math, reading, chemistry, geography, and history. Campers will also focus on art and creativity; presentation and the use of colors can make a dish taste even better. Campers will learn independent cooking skills while focusing on foods from different regions of the world. They will try their hand at main courses, appetizers, and desserts. Join the fun!

Coding Creators

*All Grades
Instructor: Joshua Stewart

Campers will explore computer programming and learn the fundamentals of coding while creating fun projects. Younger campers will start with a simple drag-and-drop programming environment, and older campers will finish the camp coding with the Python programming language—NO coding experience needed.

Engineering

*All Grades
Instructor: David Ayres

Join our Engineering Camp! Collaborate in teams to design and build catapults, mousetrap cars, bridges, and gliders. Dive into design software applications and bring your creations to life with 3D printing. All while exploring the exciting world of engineering!

Media Makers

*Grades 3-4 & 5-6
Instructor: Wyatt Gerth

Step into a world of creativity and imagination at Tri County Tech's Movie Makers! Young storytellers will embark on an exciting journey through the magic of filmmaking, where they’ll explore practical effects, craft unique props, and bring their ideas to life on screen. From shaping stories to capturing scenes and creating dynamic visuals, campers will dive into a hands-on adventure filled with inspiration, discovery, and fun. Whether they dream of directing, designing, or storytelling, this camp is the perfect place to unleash creativity and explore the art of cinema!

Medical Explorers

*Grades 3-4 & 7-9
Instructors: Casey Woods & Shelly Holdman

Campers will dive into the fascinating world of the human body through engaging, hands-on activities. They'll conduct simple experiments, explore interactive models, and learn essential healthcare skills like basic first aid. Along the way, they'll discover how the heart pumps, how lungs function, and more, all in a fun, friendly environment. Perfect for young explorers eager to understand the wonders of their own bodies!

PE

Instructor: Ben Showler

Get ready to move, play, and compete! Campers will participate in a variety of sports, fitness challenges, and team-building activities designed to build strength, coordination, and teamwork. From classic games to new and exciting challenges, this camp is all about staying active, having fun, and developing a lifelong love for physical fitness!

Robotics


*All Grades
Instructors: Lane Ullrich & Bethany Shaw

Campers will be given a challenge at the beginning of the week! They will design, build, and test a robot made out of VEX materials. Campers will work in small groups to brainstorm and develop a prototype through preliminary testing. Finally, they will program a working robot to complete challenges.

Science


*All Grades
Instructors: Jana Higgs & Marissa Johnson

Do you remember Bill Nye the Science Guy and all his wild experiments? In this class campers will explore the wonderful, wacky world of science and how exciting it can be. Through hands-on experiments and activities, campers will learn about chemical reactions, geology, thermodynamics, and the water cycle. We will build, make, and play our way through "Random Acts of Science."

Science & Photography


*Grades 5-6 & 7-9
Instructor: Amanda Stratford

Campers will explore the technology and science behind cameras while honing their photography skills and learning imaging techniques and darkroom science. Why are some photos sharp while others are blurry? How do shutters and apertures control light to create an image? Through hands-on projects, campers will build a pinhole camera, print a Cyanotype, and experiment with traditional photography methods. They will also dive into the world of digital imaging, working on creative projects that explore modern advancements like AI photo technology and digital editing tools.
